FINANCE MANAGER

We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to be responsible for all aspects of financial accounting, reporting and control. There is a strong emphasis on ensuring the accounting staff are correctly recording entries into the ledger and all local and US GAAP rules are followed.

You will report to the Financial Controller in Australia with a side report to the Director of International Accounting & Compliance.

In this role, this person will be required to support the Financial Controller in the following areas:
• US Gaap Reporting
• Statutory Reporting
• Tax Compliance
• Sox Compliance
• Reporting & Budgeting
• Managing 1 staff member

The ideal candidate will have the following:
• CPA/CA qualified professional
• Knowledge of US GAAP desirable
• Knowledge of SOX Compliance desirable
• Good understanding of local GAAP and IFRS
• Advanced MS Excel
• Experience with Audits
• Staff Management experience
• The ability to develop relationships across the business units
• Experience in the media industry desirable

ONLINE DATA ANALYST

We are looking for a Web Analyst that has the ability to synthesise metrics and numbers into practical insights and communicate those insights with a creative flair.

Duties of the role include:
• Analyse website and online marketing user behavior using qualitative and quantitative methodologies to maximise marketing effectiveness & identify opportunities
• Work with product and marketing teams to develop recommendations for improving online performance using BI data and user research analysis
• Support the technical and editorial team in the implementation and analysis of SEO and SEM campaigns
• Develop and present reports for internal and external clients based around site activity data
• Support the analytic needs of the company by using Omniture and other analytical tools to understand trends in web traffic
• Work with our technology team to optimise data capture strategy and to collaboratively implement enhancements

The ideal candidate will possess the following:
• A good understanding of the business of online media
• Working knowledge of web analytics such as Omniture, Google Analytics or similar
• Have a background in data / statistical analysis and online user behaviour
• Minimum two years experience in an online environment,
• Working knowledge of SQL and stored statements (desirable)
• Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline
• Advanced skills in Excel
• Proven ability to work effectively as a member of a cross-functional team

Each day, more than 60,000 people visit our site to read the latest news and independent product reviews, watch videos, download software, music and games, and post their opinions about technology and consumer electronics.

We have an opening for an Associate Editor who will be responsible for a range of editorial tasks including news writing, product reviews, features, blogs, podcasts, video reviews, conducting interviews and presentations. The main product categories you will focus on are digital media hardware and software plus social networking products.

You also have to be prepared to speak to the press to provide an expert’s opinion on radio and TV interviews. The role may also require the successful candidate to moderate forums and other user generated content.

It is important to note that the main focus on the role is on written tasks with the opportunity to do video presentations on a weekly basis.

The ideal candidate for this position will:
• Have strong writing skills. Previous experience in online journalism or Web delivered content (podcasts or vodcasts) would be a plus.

We are looking for a pro active, successful and dynamic Senior Account Manager to be responsible for growing online advertising revenue across named existing accounts, plus generating additional revenue by developing new business across the Consumer and Entertainment properties of CBS Interactive. As a senior member of the Consumer & Entertainment sales team, the holder of this position will be required to plan and execute strategic account management / client engagement programs. They will also be expected to show leadership and mentoring skills with junior team members.

Additional key responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to, account support, program implementation, monitoring program terms and strategic selling.

Working at CBS

Working for CBS Interactive has been great fun! I joined in March 2007 as a Junior Video Editor after finishing my Diploma in Digital Media.

Since then I have had the privilege on going on fun and exciting location shoots, editing creative and educational videos, traveling around Australia and meeting up with Celebrities.

Recently I got promoted as a Video Producer and now have a great team under me that I help manage and drive as the Video Team. I wouldn’t trade my job with anything else!
